What is Zenius Toy System?
Zenius is a fusion between familiar wood blocks, with a unique twist. Our blocks feature the premium heirloom quality of handmade wooden blocks you might remember growing up with, with the fun and versatility of a patent-pending screw system. Unlike ordinary wood blocks, where everything can come tumbling down with one swipe of the hand, Zenius blocks can be affixed easily with one another in countless ways for creations that defy gravity and won’t topple over with one wrong move. The craftsmanship of our sustainable wood blocks look and feel fantastic, while providing long-lasting educational STEM-ready playing fun designed to last for years.
I love the idea of Zenius, but it seems expensive. Why?
Our custom birch wood blocks require multiple steps to make, with a lot of hand labor. The manufacturing process is tedious, yet we’ve priced our toy sets to be competitive with other premium wood toys of similar quality and complexity. Our blocks are smoothly polished and finished - no rough edges or damaged pieces should be in your set. As a start-up company, over time we hope to be able to bring our prices down as production increases and costs go down.
What sizes are the blocks?
Zenius blocks are based on a mathematically-coordinated size methodology so they interact in a way that makes them logical and easy-to-use in small or large quantities. They are based on increments of 1.25” units. To illustrate, every cube of 1.25” x 1.25” will have a hole to line up with from one block to the next.
Large Beams: 1.25” x 10”
Medium Beam: 1.25” x 5”
Small Beams:1.25” x 2.5”
Large Block: 2.5” x 5”
Square Block: 2.5” x 2.5”
Materials and sustainability - are these toys safe?
We take safety and sustainability seriously. It was important to us that the blocks also be durable and of lasting quality. These blocks are designed from durable and sustainable hardwoods, finished with safe plastic fittings. We work closely with all our suppliers to ensure safety is a top priority, from design through finishing. Zenius toys comply with the criteria set forth by independent testing agencies who have verified our compliance with the applicable federal regulations. See our CPC here and test results here.
Materials and sustainability - are any of the woods you’re using endangered?
The main wood species we source, birch, is not on the endangered list. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure our wood is sourced ethically and responsibly.
Materials and sustainability - does Zenius contribute to any other social causes?
We are a small business partner of The National Forest Foundation. We contribute a percentage of each purchase to plant trees from Florida to California. In addition, we are working together with other forestry organizations to become strategic partners in their important missions.

I just purchased a set of these awesome blocks but haven’t received an order confirmation or shipment notification email yet. What should I do?
Oh no! We send our customers an order confirmation email immediately following their purchase. Please add email@example.com to your safe senders list and check your spam and junk mail folders to see if it was incorrectly filtered. Do you charge tax, and if so, why?
Zenius must charge sales tax in any state where it has a physical presence. This means that purchases in New Jersey are subject to local sales tax. Sales shipped to all other states are not subject to sales tax.
I like your customer service form, but what if I just want to talk to someone at Zenius?
There is nothing the Zenius team dislikes more from their own customer service experiences than being on hold for ages (“All our representatives are busy now. Please hold for the next available representative.”). Rather than make you wait for us to become available, we ask that you fill out our form and we will give you a call back. If you have a preferred time you would like to hear from us, just note that in the form. We will do everything we can to respond within 48 hours. What is Zenius’ shipping policy?
When you place an order through our website, in-stock items leave our shipping facility on the same or next business day. We initiate shipments Monday through Friday. Please see below for more specific details.
* All contiguous U.S. orders (48 states excluding AK and HI) whose final total is over $99 will ship free via UPS Ground. The order total must be $99 after all discounts, promotions, gift certificates, and cash vouchers. Taxes and shipping do not count towards the $99 order minimum. Free shipping is not available for orders shipping to a PO Box or to an APO address.
If you place an order before 1pm Eastern Time, the package will leave our warehouse on the same day. Any order placed after this time will be shipped the next business day. What is Zenius’ return policy?
Our return policy is straightforward: we value your business and want you to be completely satisfied with Zenius products. If you are not for any reason, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-866-ZENIUS1 (866) 936-4871 and we will gladly issue a refund or exchange once we receive your return. Just make sure to return the item within 45 days in its original undamaged packaging, and your refund will be on its way.
